Shiv Kotagal
Shiv Kotagal is a musician and technologist from Atlanta, USA, who has run a Tabla academy since 2014 that continues to train students — predominantly school-goers — and consistently produces confident, certified Tabla performers every year.
Shiv has performed solo and accompanied many renowned musicians across genres, and has several recordings to his credit.
He hails from a family of educationalists. Combining that heritage with his passion for Tabla and technology, he has forged a coaching model that brings together invaluable training and repertoire from the oral traditions of the six major Tabla Gharanas with today’s cutting-edge technology — eliminating inefficiencies and helping students achieve mastery on Tabla in minimal time.
